This privacy policy sets out how Splash Academy SWC (‘we’ and ‘us’) uses and protects any information that you give when you interact with Splash Academy SWC via our website, mailing lists or booking a course with us via the online registration system.
Splash Academy SWC is committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected. We process personal client data to facilitate the bookings of our lessons and courses. We will not share your information with any third party unless required to do so by legal requirement.
Splash Academy SWC may change this policy by updating this page. You should check this page from time to time to ensure that you are happy with any changes. This policy is effective from July 2019.
We will collect the following information:
Your name
Your child’s name & DOB
Contact information including email address
Demographic information such as telephone numbers and postcodes
Internal record keeping
This information is kept on a secure database and is only shared within our swim school for the period of your enrolment
Mailing lists
Our mailing lists are stored on our secure third party database, privacy policies are available upon request.
We keep the number of communications we send to a minimum and will only send you information related to the following:
Booking reminders
Offers and promotions
Security/Policy & procedural updates
Pool/lesson information
We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure. In order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure, we have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online.
Data retention
We do not hold your data any longer than is necessary to provide you with our services or to comply with applicable law. We would expect to retain, store and use your data for the lifespan of your children’s swim journey with us, or for the duration of any lessons and courses you attend. Whilst we do not place a specific timeframe on the retention of our personal data, we periodically review our records and remove, edit, archive or delete data we deem surplus to requirements. Splash Academy is also required, by law, to retain financial information relating to its business practices for up to 7 years.
Your rights
In accordance with the GDPR you have the following rights:
to be provided with access to your personal data held by us;
to request the rectification or erasure of your personal data held by us;
to object to the collection of your data and request that we cease processing your data;
to request that we restrict the processing of your personal data while we investigate your concerns with this information;
