Payment: Full payment is due before the start of lessons. Payment due dates are emailed prior to the new course/lessons starting.
Refunds and Cancellations: Splash Academy is under no obligation to refund or transfer any monies once a course is booked or in the event that you are unable to attend part of, or the entire course. Should a customer wish to request a catch up lesson due to sickness or holiday, it is their responsibility to contact Splash Academy to request this, however we cannot guarantee an alternative lesson will be available. Once the term has started, we are unable to offer any refund and 100% fees are applicable. If any lessons are cancelled due to venue problems and an alternative lesson is offered, no refunds will be given.
Any cancellations due to unforeseeable events such as power cuts, adverse weather, disasters, terrorism, war and pandemics will not be refundable as these are out of our control.
All lesson times and venues are subject to change, however all customers will receive prior notice. Where alternative lessons are offered no refunds will be given.
Pool safety/code of conduct ~ General:
You must only enter the pool area and pool when invited to do so by your teacher.
Please arrive no more than 5 minutes before the start of your lesson.
Shoes must be removed before entering poolside. Please bring suitable alternative footwear such as sliders/ flip flops if you prefer.
Prams are not allowed in changing rooms or on poolside.
As stated in our Safeguarding policy, to adhere to current safeguarding guidelines we do not allow any photos or videos to be taken during lessons. No mobile phones or recording devices are to be used poolside at any venue.
Please shower at home before and after your lesson.
Splash Academy SWC request a double nappy system is used unless your child is fully toilet trained. A double nappy is a disposable swim nappy or aqua nappy covered by another snug layer such as swim trunks or costume. We do not request that you wear any particular brand.
It is essential that we try to avoid any potential leakages which would lead to a cancelled lesson. If you think your child might have soiled during a lesson please remove them from the pool and re-join the lesson once changed.
Please take your used nappies home with you or use the nappy bins provided.
Please take a towel poolside, in case of an emergency evacuation.
Health: All medical conditions must be disclosed to Splash Academy SWC regarding the health of you, if attending parent and child classes and the child attending the swimming classes via the online registration system.
If you and/or child have a medical problem and use any medication i.e an inhaler, please tell your teacher and feel free to keep this near you/them during lessons.
If you or your child has any of the following then please do not bring them to the pool and avoid swimming until it has completely cleared up. Any form of infection e.g. ear, nose, eye, chest, throat, impetigo or any form of infectious disease e.g. chickenpox or measles
Following on from sickness or diarrhoea we recommend your child be clear of all symptoms for 48 hours prior to returning to lessons.
If your child is receiving any form of medical treatment then please seek the advice of your GP or health visitor before swimming.
Safety is our priority at Splash Academy. The participation of you, and/or your child is done so entirely at your own risk. Please take the time to familiarise yourself with the pool health & safety / emergency procedures and instructions throughout the building.
Splash Academy are not liable for any loss, damage or injury whilst on the pool premises. Any personal belongings are left at the owner’s risk.
In the event of an emergency all swimmers and spectators must immediately stop what they are doing and wait for further instructions. Should it be necessary to evacuate the building no attempt should be made to recover possessions from the changing rooms or anywhere else within the building. You will already have your towel on poolside which should be taken with you to keep your child warm.
Safety is our priority and should we feel that this is being compromised, in anyway, we reserve the right to remove anybody from the pool and/or building.
Safety ~ Parent & Child lessons - lessons are for 25minutes every week, with one adult per child in the water, that adult is exclusively responsible for the safety of the child both in the pool, changing rooms and the surrounding areas.
Safety ~ Independent child - lessons are for 25minutes every week, with one adult exclusively responsible for the safety of the child on poolside, in the changing rooms and the surrounding areas.
You will remain responsible for your child at all times whilst on the premises and throughout each lesson. Splash Academy SWC are not be responsible for any injury or accident caused as a result of children and/or parents failing to abide by these rules and supervise their children at all times, in all parts of the building.
Splash Academy SWC take no responsibility for the applications of practice outside the Splash Academy SWC lessons now and in the future. Any such practice is done so at your sole discretion and risk.
Parking: Parking at any of our venues is done at your own risk, Splash Academy SWC do not accept any liability to your car or your personal possessions.
